EPEOPLE — Healthcare Workforce Ecosystem
“Four years in, they still argue with me about my own feature requests — and they've been right more often than I care to admit.”
I run care facilities, not software companies — though I've started a few of those too. Before Sinister I'd paid two different teams to build our staffing and compliance system. Both of them demoed beautifully and both fell apart the first week a charge nurse actually touched them. Sinister asked to sit through a shift change before they wrote a line of code. When my scheduler told them the open-shift screen didn't match how she fills a call-out at six in the morning, they didn't send back a memo explaining why she was mistaken. They rebuilt it. Compliance is the part of my business that can close a facility overnight, and it's the part they took most seriously. Four years in, they still argue with me about my own feature requests, and they've been right more often than I care to admit.
